IISSAC Badminton

The hard work of our badminton players paid off, with the boys team securing 4th place in the competition, and the girls team bringing home the banner as the 2023 badminton champions!

For the individual medals, Heinsrich won a bronze medal in the Singles category, and Ting Wei and Yifan secured the Doubles bronze medal. For the girls, Sara and Kesia won silver medals in Singles, while Aarohi and Yugyung won gold medals for Doubles.

Congratulations to all the players. Go Dragons!

IISSAC Swim

It has been a great year for the BIS Dragon Swim Team. The team tried their best during the IISSAC competition at BIAS, and showed great performance and effort across the board.

Swimmers from all age groups earned individual and team relay medals. For individual races, the boys team earned a combined 8 gold, 6 silver, and 5 bronze medals; the girls earned 2 gold, 6 silver, and 8 bronze medals. In the relays, the girls won 2 gold and 1 bronze, and the boys won 3 silver and 1 bronze. Congratulations to all of our swimmers!

Many students also raced their Personal Best last weekend, showing growth and determination. Thank you to all of our swimmers for your hard work and effort, and thank you to the school community for your support. We are proud to be Dragons!

IISSAC X-Country

IISSAC Basketball

Over the 3-5 March weekend, the BIS Boys and Girls traveled to Salatiga for the IISSAC Basketball tournament.  The tournament was the first that IISSAC has sponsored since before the pandemic in 2019.  Both teams played with a great deal of enthusiasm, effort, and heart. Although neither team came away with a placing trophy, they represented BIS fantastically and exhibited what it means to compete as a Dragon!
Football Games

Our Dragons took on our local rivals in the first competitive football games in over two years. The excitement was incredible as many of the BIS students, teachers, and parents made their way to the away venue. Our girls won their match 3-1. Unfortunately, the boy's team was defeated 6-2. We look forward to home matches coming to the BIS campus coming soon in preparation for the IISSAC tournament.
