The BIS Board of Directors is a group of dedicated BIS parents who have made the decision to serve the school and its community.  The Board is comprised of seven members who serve for three years.  As per Board policy, there can only be two members serving simultaneously that represent the same nationality.  To join the Board, potential members must submit a letter of application; the voting takes place during the Foundation Meeting that takes place during the second semester.

Board Update November 2025

Dear BIS Dragons Community,

This semester, I have been witness to how courage, one of our core values, is displayed throughout the school’s programs. I was able to play a small role in organizing the MYP’s Team Building Day in Lembang recently. I watched young men and women try several new challenges - including treetop zip lines and scaling down giant walls. I also watched our school’s football team represent us well in Malang when they played in the ISSAAC tournament. Both boys’ and girls’ teams advanced to the semi-finals, showing incredible courage by playing through a tough round robin schedule and less than ideal weather conditions. I just love watching our young people go for it and grow.

I am proud to be a parent at BIS. I am grateful for this school’s faculty and staff, who thoughtfully plan and prepare the best curriculum and environment for our children. I am also amazed by our parent community that supports the school’s events so well. As always, our Halloween party was a huge success, and our upcoming Unity and Diversity Day is another day that parents are heavily involved in. It’s one of my favorite days, as it showcases our school’s cultural diversity and the uniqueness of our community.
