Living in Bandung
Why you should consider living in Bandung!
Indonesia has more than 200 cities, and each city is beautiful in its own way. However, Bandung has some uniqueness that will make you fall in love with the city and want to live there.
Bandung is the capital city of West Java province in Indonesia and is the third largest populated city with a sprawling urban population of 2.6 million in 2022. Located 768 meters above sea level, Bandung has cooler temperatures all year round than most other Indonesian cities.
Bandung is often called ‘Paris van Java’ as Bandung reminds them of the capital city of Paris, France. Bandung also earned the nickname Kota Kembang, meaning the Flower City since Bandung is filled with flowers. Bandung city has a tropical highland rainforest monsoon climate. Like any other city in Indonesia, there is a dry season from June to October and a rainy season from November to March. Bandung city is heaven for food lovers, not only traditional culinary, but also modern food and even fusions between the two!
Health Care
In Bandung, many doctors have extensive qualifications and decent English language skills. Most are located in hospitals, as opposed to private clinics. The waiting process can be a bit tedious, as there are often limited appointment options; instead, you typically arrive to get a number and wait for your turn. We recommend going early in the morning for a doctor’s visit.

Maranatha Hospital: This hospital is part of Maranatha University, and is located next to the school.
