Founded in 1885, NEASC is recognized as one of the oldest regional accrediting bodies in the United States, with a mission to promote educational excellence and continuous improvement through a culture of reflection, evaluation, and accountability.

NEASC Accreditation is an internationally respected symbol of quality and integrity. It is granted to schools that meet or exceed NEASC’s established standards in areas such as student learning, governance, leadership, teaching and assessment, and community engagement. The process emphasizes self-reflection and continuous growth, encouraging schools to develop strong systems that support student achievement and well-being.

BAN-PDM

About MoE National Accreditation

Bandung Independent School, as an SPK (Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama), is accredited by the Badan Akreditasi Nasional Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini, Pendidikan Dasar, dan Pendidikan Menengah (BAN-PDM). Our most recent accreditation was in 2019, and in 2025 we are undergoing the reaccreditation process.

There are three main areas of focus in this process:

First, ensuring that the SPK meets all regulatory standards, legal requirements, and applicable provisions to maintain operational legitimacy

Second, assessing the overall performance of the SPK, including its partnership with foreign educational institutions (Lembaga Pendidikan Asing or LPA) through evaluations, quality assurance systems, teacher competencies, and professional development. This also includes the school’s internal responsibilities such as safety, facilities management, and the leadership competencies of the principal.

Third, ensuring that the SPK demonstrates a strong commitment to instilling national values, strengthening faith in God Almighty, and contributing positively to the educational ecosystem and community.
